 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  3 men charged in shooting to death of rising Latin singer Delarosa in Los Angeles 

Three men have been charged with murder in the fatal shooting of 22-year-old Maria De La Rosa, a rising Latin singer known professionally as DELAROSA, in Los Angeles over the weekend.

The attack occurred Saturday morning in the Northridge neighborhood while De La Rosa was sitting in a parked car with two other people. Prosecutors said three men approached the vehicle, demanded money, and then opened fire, striking all three occupants. De La Rosa later died at a hospital, while the other two victims were critically injured.

“This was a ruthless and targeted attack that stole the life of a young woman and artist and inflicted profound lifelong trauma on her family and the two survivors,” LA County District Attorney Nathan Hochman said.

A 27-year-old man was arrested the same day of the shooting, and another 27-year-old was taken into custody the following day. A warrant has been issued for a third suspect, a 21-year-old. All three, residents of Northridge, face one felony count of murder and two felony counts of attempted second-degree robbery.

DELAROSA, who had over 40,000 Instagram followers, released a single in August titled “No Me Llames,” or “Don’t Call Me” in English. Her passing prompted an outpouring of grief on social media, including messages from Jimmy Humilde, founder of the record label Rancho Humilde.
