Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. A SWEET SENIOR COUPLE JUST SAID “I DO” IN THE MOST PERFECT PLACE IMAGINABLE: THE YMCA SWIMMING POOL WHERE THEY FIRST MET!. (PHOTO).

A sweet senior couple just said “I do” in the most perfect place imaginable: the YMCA swimming pool where they first met!

Barbara (78) and Ron (81) from Clearwater, Florida, locked eyes five years ago during water aerobics class. What started with smiles and friendly chatter between exercises turned into coffee dates, then love. Last Valentine’s Day, Ron proposed right there in the shallow end with a waterproof ring.

This weekend, they returned to that very same pool to get married. Waist-deep in water, surrounded by 60 guests in swimsuits and leis, their classmates cheering, and their original instructor officiating, they exchanged vows while gently floating with pool noodles.

The bride glowed in a white swimsuit with a lace cover-up and waterproof veil; the groom looked dapper in swim trunks and a bow tie.

“We met in the water, fell in love in the water, so we got married in the water,” Barbara said with a big smile.

The YMCA happily opened the pool for the celebration, and everyone partied with splashes and poolside cake afterward.

Now the newlyweds are off on a seniors’ cruise, already excited for more water aerobics together.

Love really does come full circle! 🏊‍♀️💕🏊‍♂️
