Marilyn Manson's sexual assault case by former assistant reinstated under new California law A previously dismissed sexual assault case against Marilyn Manson, filed by former assistant Ashley Walters, was revived Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court under a new California law extending the statute of limitations for certain sexual abuse claims. Judge Steve Cochran granted Walters’ motion for reconsideration, vacating his December 2025 ruling that had dismissed the case and allowing it to proceed toward trial. The original suit, first filed in 2021, accused Manson, whose legal name is Brian Warner, of sexual harassment, sexual battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and wrongful termination based on her time working for him in 2010–2011. Previous attempts to move the case forward were blocked because the claims were made years after the alleged incidents, with courts initially ruling that the delayed discovery doctrine did not apply.  African Union Demands Global Action  In Mali Crisis


The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, has issued an urgent appeal for coordinated international intervention as Mali’s security and humanitarian crisis reaches critical levels.


In a statement released Sunday Chairperson Youssouf condemned the escalating terrorist blockades that have cut off vital supplies to civilian populations, plunging communities deeper into desperation.


The AU leader expressed unwavering solidarity with the Malian government and people, particularly the families of victims, while reaffirming the Union’s commitment to peace and development across the Sahel.


Particular outrage was reserved for recent kidnappings, including the abduction of three Egyptian nationals.


Calling for a robust global response, the Chairperson urged enhanced intelligence sharing, sustained support for affected states, and unified action against terrorism and violent extremism – in line with the Communiqué of the AU Peace and Security Council’s 1304th ministerial meeting held on 30 September 2025.


The statement comes amid reports of intensifying jihadist activity in northern and central Mali, where armed groups have imposed sieges on multiple towns, triggering acute food shortages and mass displacement.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
