 Press Release: Every Hisbah Officer Is a Peace and Security Ambassador in His Community. Kano State Governor Alh.Abba Kabir Yusuf has reaffirmed the determination of his administration to ensure security and peace  for the protection of lives and property across the state. The Governor, represented by the Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Sheikh Ahmad Tijjani Sani Auwal, made the commitment during a stakeholders meeting on the contribution of shari'a sector institutions toward promoting peace and security in Kano State. The meeting was organized by the Kano State Hisbah Board and held at the Coronation hall Government House, Kano. He emphasized that security is a collective responsibility and urged the Hisbah Board to focus more on providing intelligence reports to conventional security agencies, rather than limiting efforts to moral enforcement alone.  Anambra guber: I’m a winner – AAC’s Ifemeludike declares despite 292 votes


The candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, in the just concluded Anambra State governorship election, Chioma Ifemeludike, has described herself as a winner despite losing the election to Governor Chukwuma Soludo.

According to results released by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, secured 292 votes in the poll.

INEC declared the incumbent governor, Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, winner of the election with 422,664 votes.

The All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate, Nicholas Ukachukwu, came second with 99,445 votes.

However, in a post shared on her X handle on Sunday, Ifemeludike said her modest tally represented a symbolic victory rooted in principles rather than political machinery.

“Integrity stands firm and higher than political deception. I’m a winner!” she wrote.

Ifemeludike gained significant online attention during the campaign for her unconventional photos and videos.

She said she was satisfied with her performance and noted that her campaign was conducted without malpractice.

She maintained that her participation in the race underscored the importance of sincerity, courage, and clean politics, even in an environment dominated by bigger political parties.
