The monarch, who is currently in the U.S, explained that his trip was to attend to personal and professional matters, adding that he will soon return to Nigeria. "I travelled to the United States of America in May 2025 to attend to some professional and personal matters.  Anambra guber: I’m a winner – AAC’s Ifemeludike declares despite 292 votes

The candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, in the just concluded Anambra State governorship election, Chioma Ifemeludike, has described herself as a winner despite losing the election to Governor Chukwuma Soludo.

According to results released by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, secured 292 votes in the poll.

INEC declared the incumbent governor, Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, winner of the election with 422,664 votes.

The All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate, Nicholas Ukachukwu, came second with 99,445 votes.

However, in a post shared on her X handle on Sunday, Ifemeludike said her modest tally represented a symbolic victory rooted in principles rather than political machinery.

“Integrity stands firm and higher than political deception. I’m a winner!” she wrote.

Ifemeludike gained significant online attention during the campaign for her unconventional photos and videos.

She said she was satisfied with her performance and noted that her campaign was conducted without malpractice.

She maintained that her participation in the race underscored the importance of sincerity, courage, and clean politics, even in an environment dominated by bigger political parties.
