AU urges de-escalation as fighting displaces over 180,000 in South Sudan’s Jonglei state The Chairperson of the African Union Commission called for immediate de-escalation and strict adherence to South Sudan’s 2018 peace agreement, as renewed fighting in Jonglei State displaced more than 180,000 people and raised fears of further civilian harm. In a statement, African Union Commission Chairperson Mahmoud Ali Youssouf said he was deeply concerned by the deteriorating security situation in parts of the country, particularly Jonglei, where escalating violence and inflammatory rhetoric have put civilians—including women and children—at heightened risk.  Cal State Fullerton Community Mourns Two Beloved Students Lost One Week Apart

The CSUF family is heartbroken over the passing of two bright young women just seven days apart.

Destiny Morris, a 19-year-old junior and cherished member of the Titans Dance Team, passed away on November 14, 2025. Known for her radiant smile and unstoppable determination, Destiny was a dancer and instructor at her home studio, a writer for Tusk Magazine, and an active sister in Zeta Tau Alpha. Her teammates describe her as a breath of fresh air whose resilience continues to inspire everyone who knew her.

This loss follows the passing of 20-year-old sophomore soccer player Lauren Turner on November 7, after she sustained critical injuries in an off-campus electric scooter accident several weeks earlier.

Though the two incidents are unrelated, the campus has been deeply affected by the back-to-back losses. Students, faculty, staff, and alumni are coming together to remember Destiny and Lauren for the joy, talent, and kindness they brought to Titan Nation.

Counseling and support services remain available on campus for anyone who need them during this difficult time.

Rest in peace, Destiny and Lauren. You will always be part of the Titan family. 🧡🖤
