 TROOPS OF OPERATION UDO KA UNCOVER SHALLOW GRAVE, EXHUME REMAINS OF LATE COMMUNITY LEADER IN IMO STATE Troops of 34 Artillery Brigade, operating under Operation UDO KA and through the ongoing Operation EASTERN SANITY II, have achieved another significant breakthrough with the recovery and dignified exhumation of the remains of the late Chief Ibe Anyadu of Aggah Community. Chief Anyadu was allegedly murdered by suspected members of a criminal gang recently apprehended in connection with violent crimes in the region. This development follows recent intelligence-driven operations that led to the arrest of suspects responsible for the killing of a Nigerian Army soldier and the recovery of stolen service weapons. During interrogation, one of the suspects confessed to involvement in the murder of Chief Anyadu and volunteered to lead troops to the burial site.  China begins nationwide fire safety inspections after Hong Kong blaze

China has launched a nationwide inspection of fire safety in high-rise buildings following a deadly blaze in Hong Kong that killed at least 128 people, officials announced Saturday. The move aims to prevent similar disasters on the mainland.

The Ministry of Emergency Management said the inspection will focus on buildings undergoing exterior renovations and interior modifications. Authorities will examine flammable materials used in wall insulation, banned construction materials such as bamboo scaffolding, fire safety equipment, and emergency evacuation routes. Local officials are required to carry out thorough inspections and immediately address any hazards, with strict penalties for serious violations. The Hong Kong fire, which began on Wednesday, rapidly consumed seven of eight 32-story blocks at an apartment complex under renovation, highlighting risks linked to combustible scaffolding and foam insulation.
