Drama as actor Taye Arimoro and actress Peggy Ovire clash on movie set

There’s been tension online following an altercation between Nollywood actor Taye Arimoro and actress Peggy Ovire alongside her team.

In a viral live video shared by Arimoro, the actor alleged that the misunderstanding began after he tried to leave the movie location past his agreed contract time. According to him, his call time for the next day was 10 a.m., and his contract for that night was meant to end by 11 p.m.

He claimed he had waited until around midnight before insisting on leaving, but was reportedly blocked from doing so. In the live video, Taye alleged that Peggy instructed her driver to block his car to prevent him from leaving.

He also showed visible injuries to his gum and lips, alleging that he was assaulted during the confrontation. Taye Arimoro further claimed that his car tires were deflated in the heat of the incident.

Meanwhile, Peggy Ovire also accused the actor of assaulting her driver, claiming the man was left bleeding from the ear.

HER OWN SIDE OF THE STORY:

Peggy Ovire shares her side of the story amid altercation with actor Taye Arimoro

Nollywood actress Peggy Ovire has finally addressed the ongoing altercation between her and actor Taye Arimoro, sharing her version of events in a series of Instagram stories.

In her post, Peggy accused Taye of physically assaulting two crew members during a film shoot. According to her, the incident started when the crew pleaded with him to complete two short scenes so they could wrap up filming for the night.

She wrote, “Taye, you beat up two crew members simply because you felt they had no voice — no social media presence, no one to speak for them. They were only begging you to please complete two short scenes so we could wrap the night. Moments later, you went live to record their reaction — leaving out the part where the violence began.”

Peggy went on to explain that Taye arrived on set around noon that day and decided to leave without notice when filming extended into the night. She stated that everything had been fine between them until she asked him to quickly shoot one more scene before recording his behind-the-scenes clip.

According to her, “You reacted sharply when I tried to talk to you, so I decided to give you space. Later, when the Production Manager approached you to appeal for more time, you got physical with him. You had punched the Production Manager three times and he was on the floor before the driver came out.”

Peggy added that when she came out to intervene, the situation had already escalated. She claimed that Taye drove off while she was still beside the car, and that her driver was later found bleeding from the ear after allegedly being hit multiple times by the actor.

The actress concluded that she decided to share her side not out of anger, but to “set the record straight.”
