 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. The Federal Government's resolve to make Nigeria a maritime hub has received further boost, with the official handover of Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) for 90 hectares of land by the Oyo State Government for Moniya Inland Dry Port development. 


​The Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy, Olufemi Oloruntola, while receiving the documents on behalf of the Federal Government, describes the gesture as a clear demonstration of partnership and shared vision between the Federal and State Governments to expand economic opportunities through modern trade.


The Permanent Secretary in a statement by the  Ministry's Director, Information and  Public Relations, Anastasia Ogbonna assures that the Moniya Inland Dry Port would be a strategic national project that brings shipping services closer to both importers and exporters, thereby stimulating industrial and agricultural growth across the entire South-West region.


​Oyo State Deputy Governor, Abdul-Raheem Lawal, appreciates the Federal Government for its resolve to develop vital transport infrastructure across the country, reiterating the state’s unwavering commitment to the project.
