Marilyn Manson's sexual assault case by former assistant reinstated under new California law A previously dismissed sexual assault case against Marilyn Manson, filed by former assistant Ashley Walters, was revived Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court under a new California law extending the statute of limitations for certain sexual abuse claims. Judge Steve Cochran granted Walters’ motion for reconsideration, vacating his December 2025 ruling that had dismissed the case and allowing it to proceed toward trial. The original suit, first filed in 2021, accused Manson, whose legal name is Brian Warner, of sexual harassment, sexual battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and wrongful termination based on her time working for him in 2010–2011. Previous attempts to move the case forward were blocked because the claims were made years after the alleged incidents, with courts initially ruling that the delayed discovery doctrine did not apply. Google says group behind E-ZPass, USPS text scam has been dismantled following lawsuit


Google announced Thursday that it has successfully dismantled a foreign cybercriminal group responsible for a large-scale SMS phishing operation, less than 24 hours after filing a lawsuit against them.

The group, known by some cybersecurity experts as the “Smishing Triad,” used a phishing kit called “Lighthouse” to send fraudulent text messages to victims in over 120 countries, targeting more than 1 million people. The messages often impersonated trusted brands such as E-ZPass, the U.S. Postal Service, and even Google, directing recipients to fake websites designed to steal personal and financial information, including Social Security numbers and banking credentials. Google shared translated messages allegedly from the group’s ringleader, indicating disruptions to their operation. Google general counsel Halimah DeLaine Prado called the shutdown “a win for everyone” and emphasized the company’s commitment to holding scammers accountable and protecting consumers.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
