 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  GOVERNOR ALEX OTTI SETS  TO PRESENT 2026 BUDGET TO ABIA STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY


The Abia State Government wishes to inform the general public, stakeholders, development partners, and the media that His Excellency, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, will formally present the 2026 Budget Proposal to the Abia State House of Assembly today, Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 2:00pm.


This year’s budget presentation comes at a defining moment in our state’s development journey. With the ongoing massive infrastructural transformation across all sectors: roads, healthcare, education, urban renewal, and digital governance, Abians can look forward to a forward-looking and strategic budget designed to consolidate the gains of the past 30 months.


The 2026 Budget is expected to reflect the administration’s unwavering commitment to rebuilding Abia, strengthening the economic base of the state, and accelerating capital projects that will deliver sustainable growth and improved quality of life for all citizens.


Abians are therefore encouraged to follow the proceedings through accredited media channels as we collectively witness yet another milestone in the New Abia agenda under Governor Otti’s visionary leadership.
