AU urges de-escalation as fighting displaces over 180,000 in South Sudan’s Jonglei state The Chairperson of the African Union Commission called for immediate de-escalation and strict adherence to South Sudan’s 2018 peace agreement, as renewed fighting in Jonglei State displaced more than 180,000 people and raised fears of further civilian harm.  GOVERNOR SANWO-OLU SETS TO COMMISSION 233 HOUSING UNITS AT ABRAHAM ADESANYA HOUSING ESTATE.

The Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is set to commission 233 Housing Units at Abraham Adesanya Housing Estate, Ajah, on Friday, November 21st, 2025. The delivery of the 233 home units will increase the housing stock available for the teeming population seeking befitting accommodation in the Lekki axis.

This was disclosed by the Commissioner for Housing in Lagos State, Hon. Moruf Akinderu Fatai, during a chat with journalists in his office. He stated that the estate consists of 34 blocks of 233 home units.

The project is a joint venture real estate development executed by Urban Shelter LTD, a private organisation. The estate was built on 3.7 hectares of land in the fully functional Abraham Adesanya Housing Estate along the Lekki-Epe expressway.

Hon. Akinderu–Fatai emphasised that the Ministry remains committed to delivering affordable and quality homes, aligning with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s promise to complete all ongoing housing projects across Lagos State.

The main Abraham Adesanya Housing Estate was commissioned on January 15, 2001, by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, then Governor of Lagos State.

The Governor, in October, similarly commissioned 420 Home Units at Akinsanya Sunny Ajose Housing Estate, Ajara.
