 LAGOS RE-INTRODUCES MONTHLY ENVIRONMENTAL SANITATION EXERCISE …Governor, Deputy lead State officials to clean up Mushin corridor Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Saturday, announced the re-introduction of the Monthly Environmental Sanitation in the State. The Governor said the exercise will hold every last Saturday of the Month between the hours of 6:30am and 8:30am but without movement restrictions. He stressed that the exercise would be monitored by State officials with appropriate sanctions to be meted out to erring neighbourhoods and markets. Sanwo-Olu made the pronouncement during a ceremony held in Olosa Bus Stop in Mushin which marked the symbolic flag-off of the monthly sanitation. The Governor, who led his Deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, and member of the State cabinet on the mission, said the culture of environmental responsibility must be imbibed by the residents across all communities in the state and reflect same in their lifestyle.  Governor Yusuf Boosts JTF Operations with New Vehicles and Motorcycles


Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has strengthened security operations in the state with the allocation of 10 vehicles and 50 motorcycles to the Joint Task Force (JTF).


The intervention is designed to enhance mobility, response time, and overall operational efficiency—particularly in the frontline Local Government Areas of Kiru, Tsanyawa, Kunchi, Ghari, Shanono, Tudun Wada, and Doguwa.


According to a statement by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the handover ceremony was held on Wednesday at the Government House, Kano.


The allocation letter was presented by the Director, Special Services, Umar Baba Zubairu, who represented the Director General, Special Services, Major General Sani Muhammad (rtd).


The JTF Commander, AM Tukur, was represented at the event by his Chief of Staff.


The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Commissioner of Police, the Director of DSS, the Commander of NSCDC, as well as Chairmen of Kiru, Tsanyawa, and Gwarzo Local Government Areas.


Governor Yusuf reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to prioritizing security and supporting collaborative initiatives aimed at safeguarding lives and property across the state.
