 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo.  "I will rather quit the military than get involved in the invasion of Nigeria"


Opeyemi David Falegan of the ODF foundation, a well known Ekiti State man, serving in the United Nations peacekeeping missions has vowed to resign rather than obey Trump’s order to fight in Nigeria, saying that he would rather quit the military than fight in Nigeria.


The soldier shared his statement on Facebook, explaining that he would not follow any orders, even those of the UN that ask him to fight in Nigeria, emphasizing on rather leaving the military than obey any instruction of invasion against his country.


The post as seen on his page reads;

"If trump gets involved in Nigerian case , then United Nations get involved .

Imagine been ordered to wage war in  ur home country, I will rather quit the military than fight in my home country, even though terr0rist is the target, I might f!ght for my home country to conquer band!t and terr0rism
