  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report.  INEC declares Soludo winner of Anambra Gov poll


The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Governor Chukwuma Soludo winner of the November 8 governorship election in Anambra State.

According to the electoral umpire, Soludo, candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) polled 422,664 to defeat his closest rival, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who scored 99,445. 

The candidate of the Young People Party (YPP), Paul Chukwuma scored 37,753 votes to secure third position while the Labour Party’s candidate, Dr George Moghalu came distant fourth with 10,576 votes.

Announcing the results of the election Sunday morning, State Returning Officer, and Vice Chancellor, University of Benin, Prof Edoba Omoregie said Soludo was returned Governor after securing the highest number of votes cast in the exercise.

He said: “I Prof Edoba Omoregie thereby certify that I’m the Returning Officer in the Anambra state governorship election held on November 8, 2025.

“I also certify that the election was keenly contested and that a winner emerged as the candidate with the highest number of votes cast.

“I therefore declare that Soludo Charles Chukwuma of the APGA, having satisfied the requirements of the law has scored the highest number of votes is hereby declared the winner and returned elected.”
