 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Joan Templeman, wife of Virgin Records founder Richard Branson, dies at 80

Joan Templeman, the wife of billionaire Virgin Records founder Richard Branson, has passed away at the age of 80.

Branson, 75, shared the news on Instagram Tuesday, describing Templeman as his "wife and partner for 50 years." No cause of death was disclosed. The couple met in early 1976 at a live-in recording studio built for Virgin and married in 1989. They had two children together, Holly and Sam.

In a tribute, Sam Branson called his mother the "kindest, most loving, warm, and abundantly generous woman to walk this Earth," adding he was grateful to have had the privilege of calling her his mother. Richard Branson described Templeman as the "most wonderful mum and grandmum our kids and grandkids could have ever wished for," and added, "She was my best friend, my rock, my guiding light, my world. Love you forever, Joan x."
