Marilyn Manson's sexual assault case by former assistant reinstated under new California law A previously dismissed sexual assault case against Marilyn Manson, filed by former assistant Ashley Walters, was revived Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court under a new California law extending the statute of limitations for certain sexual abuse claims. Judge Steve Cochran granted Walters’ motion for reconsideration, vacating his December 2025 ruling that had dismissed the case and allowing it to proceed toward trial. The original suit, first filed in 2021, accused Manson, whose legal name is Brian Warner, of sexual harassment, sexual battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and wrongful termination based on her time working for him in 2010–2011. Previous attempts to move the case forward were blocked because the claims were made years after the alleged incidents, with courts initially ruling that the delayed discovery doctrine did not apply.  Live-action Gremlins 3 scheduled for 2027 release

A third live-action Gremlins film is scheduled for a 2027 theatrical release. Steven Spielberg will serve as executive producer, while Chris Columbus will both produce and direct the movie.

Columbus, who wrote the original 1984 film about seemingly cute pets that turn into dangerous creatures if they get wet or are fed after midnight, also directed the 1990 sequel, Gremlins 2: The New Batch. An animated prequel series ran for two seasons from 2023 to 2025. No casting details have been announced yet. Other planned sequels reviving popular ’80s films include Blade Runner 2099 and a new Labyrinth installment.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
