  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report.  Makatu Man Arrested for Brutal Murder of Girlfriend and Attempted Murder of Her Daughter 


South Africa: A 48-year-old male suspect is expected to appear before the Dzanani Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, 05 November 2025, in connection with the brutal murder of his 47-year-old girlfriend and the attempted murder of her 16-year-old daughter at Makatu Village in the Siloam policing area under the Vhembe District. The incident occurred on Monday morning, 03 November 2025.  


The suspect was swiftly arrested on Tuesday, 04 November 2025, at Biaba in Makhado during a joint operation conducted by members of the Siloam Detectives and Makhado Police, following intelligence received about his whereabouts.  


It is alleged that the suspect forcefully entered the home of his girlfriend while she was asleep with her children. According to information, the 16-year-old girl woke up to her younger sister’s screams and found her mother being attacked by the suspect, who was known to them. When she tried to intervene, the suspect allegedly stabbed her several times before fleeing the scene.  


Police were called to the scene and discovered the lifeless body of the 47-year-old woman with multiple stab wounds. Her daughter was rushed to a local hospital where she is receiving medical treatment.  


Further investigation revealed that the suspect is a repeat offender, and police investigations are continuing.
