  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous.  Man Shot Dead While Working on Stolen Car in Philippi


A young man was shot and killed on Sunday morning while working on a car at the corner of Stock Road and Govan Mbeki Drive, near the BP garage in Philippi, Cape Town.


According to witnesses, the man was busy checking the engine with the bonnet open when another man approached and shot him in the head. He died on the scene.


Another person who was nearby was also injured during the shooting and was taken to hospital for treatment.


Police later discovered that the car the victim was fixing had been stolen. It is believed that the man who was killed may have been involved in the theft of the vehicle.


Authorities are investigating the incident. The motive for the shooting has not yet been confirmed, and no arrests have been made.
