 President Trump awarded inaugural FIFA Peace Prize at World Cup draw in Washington  Gianni Infantino, the FIFA President presented the honour onstage at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, saying Trump had been selected “in recognition of his exceptional and extraordinary actions to promote peace and unity around the world”. “This is your prize, this is your peace prize,” Infantino said, after Trump took the stage to accept the trophy, a medal and certificate. “There is also a beautiful medal for you that you can wear everywhere you want to go.”   FIFA says the prize is for “individuals who help unite people in peace through unwavering commitment and special actions”.  Accepting the award, Trump called it “one of the great honours of my life”, before claiming to have “saved millions and millions of lives – the Congo is an example, over 10 million people killed and it was heading for another 10 million very quickly.  Berlin, Germany – November 6, 2025 – Diana Fast, the newly crowned Miss Germany 2025, has announced her withdrawal from the upcoming Miss Universe pageant, surprising fans and the pageant community just weeks before the event.


The 24-year-old model and advocate from Munich won the national title in September during a ceremony in Baden-Baden. Recognized for her grace, bilingual skills, and dedication to environmental causes, especially ocean conservation, she was set to represent Germany in Mexico City this December. Her win highlighted a new chapter for German pageantry as one of the youngest recent champions.


In a heartfelt statement shared on the official Miss Germany account, Fast explained her decision: "After deep reflection, I've chosen to focus on my health and personal well-being. This journey has been a wonderful dream, but now it's time to prioritize healing and growth." Details remain private, though the demands of preparation and public attention are noted as factors.

Her choice reflects ongoing discussions in the beauty industry about well-being, with other contestants in recent years stepping back for similar reasons, including representatives from Sweden and the Philippines in 2024 who mentioned exhaustion.
