 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean.  One Suspect Fatally Injured, Another Detained Following House Robbery Pursuit


Two suspects believed to be involved in a string of house robberies and vehicle thefts in the Centurion and greater Pretoria areas were intercepted during a joint operation on Sunday, 09 November 2025.


Information was received regarding a group of suspects operating in the region, traveling in a white VW Polo. Units were deployed in the Centurion and Monument Park areas to monitor their movements.


The suspects were later spotted driving recklessly from Centurion towards Monument Park. Tactical teams pursued the vehicle, resulting in a high-speed chase. The suspects lost control and collided head-on with a civilian vehicle.


One suspect sustained fatal injuries, while the second was transported to hospital under police guard with serious injuries.


Preliminary investigations revealed the vehicle was stolen and positively linked to a Garsfontein case (CAS /10/2025). Various housebreaking implements, gloves, cellphones, and suspected stolen property were recovered.
