 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean.  President Sheinbaum files charges following groping incident on Mexican street

Mexico’s President Claudia Sheinbaum announced Wednesday that she is pressing charges against a man who groped her on a Mexico City street Tuesday. The incident, captured on video and widely shared online, prompted Sheinbaum to call for stronger protections against sexual harassment across all 32 Mexican states. She emphasized that the attack highlights a broader problem faced by women nationwide.

In a video post, Sheinbaum explained that she wrestled with whether to press charges but ultimately decided it was necessary. “Many women have to deal with this, and if this can happen to the president, what can we expect for all the young women in our country?” she said. Sheinbaum also condemned the resharing of the video, calling it unethical and a potential violation of laws against the dissemination of sexual content without consent. The president said she plans to launch a campaign to educate men on respecting women’s rights, describing the issue as one of dignity and emphasizing the importance of defending all Mexican women.
