  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report.  PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES EX-KANO GOVERNOR, IBRAHIM SHEKARAU, ON 70TH BIRTHDAY


President Bola Tinubu congratulates former governor of Kano State, Senator Ibrahim Shekarau, on his recent 70th birthday.

 

A statement by Bayo Onanuga Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, says President Tinubu hails Shekarau's consummate public service career, rising from classroom teacher to the position of permanent secretary in Kano State Civil Service, before venturing into politics in the early 2000s.

It adds, President Tinubu recalls Shekarau's phenomenal election as Kano State governor in 2003 and his human-centred approach to governance in the two terms he served as the governor.

 

Shekarau was later to serve as Minister of Education (2014-2015) and as Senator representing the Kano Central constituency (2019-2023).

 

President Tinubu thanks Senator Shekarau for his years of service to the country, as an educator, administrator, and politician.

President Tinubu prayed  Allah to keep the former Kano governor in good health, so that he might continue serving his people and Nigeria.
