  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report.  PRESIDENT TINUBU MOURNS JUSTICE MUKHTAR DODO


President Bola Tinubu has expressed grief over the passing of Justice Mukhtar Muhammad Dodo (rtd), who died on Sunday at the age of 70.

 In a statement Bayo Onanuga Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, "the late jurist, who hailed from Katsina State, had a long and illustrious career in the Judiciary before his retirement.

 

He served as Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and later as a High Court judge of the Federal Capital Territory.

 

President Tinubu described the deceased as an upright judicial officer, a patriotic Nigerian and a fearless jurist who spent his life contributing to the strengthening of Nigeria’s judicial system.

 

The President while praying for the repose of the soul of the departed retired justice also prayed Allah to give his family the fortitude to bear the loss.

 

The President also extended his commiseration to the government and people of Katsina State, as well as the Dodo family.
