Marilyn Manson's sexual assault case by former assistant reinstated under new California law A previously dismissed sexual assault case against Marilyn Manson, filed by former assistant Ashley Walters, was revived Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court under a new California law extending the statute of limitations for certain sexual abuse claims. Judge Steve Cochran granted Walters’ motion for reconsideration, vacating his December 2025 ruling that had dismissed the case and allowing it to proceed toward trial. The original suit, first filed in 2021, accused Manson, whose legal name is Brian Warner, of sexual harassment, sexual battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and wrongful termination based on her time working for him in 2010–2011. Previous attempts to move the case forward were blocked because the claims were made years after the alleged incidents, with courts initially ruling that the delayed discovery doctrine did not apply.  SENATE MOVES TO BAN ENLISTMENT OF UNDERAGE IN ARMED FORCES

Senate is in the process of repealing and reenacting the Nigeria's Armed Forces act, Part of which makes provision to prohibit enlistment of persons below 18 years in the military.


This is in alignment with Childs right act and international humanitarian standards.


Other proposals in the bill seek extension of protections and rights to non commissioned officers to boost morale and fairness.


The bill sponsored by Senator Abdulaziz Yaradua also seeks to reinforce the President's constitutional authority as commander in chief, and vests the day to day operational command in the Chief of Defence Staff.


When passed and assented to, qualified military lawyers will be able to represent the Armed forces in civil courts.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
