Marilyn Manson's sexual assault case by former assistant reinstated under new California law A previously dismissed sexual assault case against Marilyn Manson, filed by former assistant Ashley Walters, was revived Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court under a new California law extending the statute of limitations for certain sexual abuse claims. Judge Steve Cochran granted Walters’ motion for reconsideration, vacating his December 2025 ruling that had dismissed the case and allowing it to proceed toward trial. The original suit, first filed in 2021, accused Manson, whose legal name is Brian Warner, of sexual harassment, sexual battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and wrongful termination based on her time working for him in 2010–2011. Previous attempts to move the case forward were blocked because the claims were made years after the alleged incidents, with courts initially ruling that the delayed discovery doctrine did not apply.  Sesame Street unveils trailer for reimagined 56th season on Netflix

Netflix has released the first trailer for the reimagined 56th season of Sesame Street, marking the iconic children’s show’s debut on the streaming platform after its departure from HBO Max. The new season premieres Nov. 10, exactly 56 years after the program first aired on PBS in 1969, and will stream globally in over 30 languages. In the United States, episodes will also air simultaneously on PBS stations, the PBS Kids Channel, and PBS Kids digital platforms.

This season introduces major changes to the show’s format. Episodes are now 11 minutes long, up from nine minutes in previous seasons, allowing for expanded storytelling and a musical element in each episode. The series has moved away from its traditional magazine-style format to more narrative-driven content. Executive producer Sal Perez said the season “invites children into the action and brings them hand-in-hand through high-stakes stories, powerful learning moments, and laugh-out-loud surprises,” with a focus on teaching kindness and compassion.

New segments include Cookie Monster’s Cookie Cart and Abby’s Fairy Garden, while classics such as Elmo’s World and Cookie Monster’s Foodie Truck return. Episodes will also feature moments where characters speak directly to viewers. Halcyon Person, an Emmy, Humanitas, and NAACP Award nominee, joins as head writer and co-executive producer. Episodes will be released in three volumes on Netflix, with four episodes per volume. Guest stars include NASCAR champion Bubba Wallace and upcoming appearances by Miley Cyrus.

The move to Netflix follows Warner Bros. Discovery’s decision not to renew the show’s contract with HBO Max, where Sesame Street had streamed since 2020 after moving to HBO in 2016. Produced by the nonprofit Sesame Workshop, the show has earned more than 200 Emmy Awards, three Peabody Awards, and a Kennedy Center Honor, reaching families in over 150 countries. Netflix will also develop video games based on Sesame Street and Sesame Street Mecha Builders, and stream 90 hours of past episodes.
