Marilyn Manson's sexual assault case by former assistant reinstated under new California law A previously dismissed sexual assault case against Marilyn Manson, filed by former assistant Ashley Walters, was revived Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court under a new California law extending the statute of limitations for certain sexual abuse claims. Judge Steve Cochran granted Walters’ motion for reconsideration, vacating his December 2025 ruling that had dismissed the case and allowing it to proceed toward trial. The original suit, first filed in 2021, accused Manson, whose legal name is Brian Warner, of sexual harassment, sexual battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and wrongful termination based on her time working for him in 2010–2011.  Societal Concerns Launches National Campaign Against the Killing of Security Personnel

In a bold move to honor Nigeria’s fallen heroes and promote national unity, Societal Concerns Media Network has launched a nationwide campaign titled “Stop the Killing of Our Security Personnel.”

The initiative, spearheaded by Ambassador Oluwayomi Oluwapelumi, aims to raise public consciousness about the alarming rise in attacks on police officers, soldiers, and other security operatives who risk their lives daily to protect citizens and maintain peace.

Speaking during the campaign’s unveiling, Ambassador Oluwayomi described the initiative as a “national call to conscience,” stressing that no nation can thrive when those who safeguard it are constantly under threat.

“Our security personnel are not just uniformed men and women; they are parents, siblings, and breadwinners who deserve respect, protection, and appreciation. This campaign is our voice for justice, empathy, and reform,” she said.

The campaign will feature community dialogues, school sensitization programs, media advocacy, and courtesy visits to security institutions, including the Police, DSS, NSCDC, and the Nigerian Army. It will also mobilize youth and civic organizations to participate in solidarity walks and awareness events across the states.

Societal Concerns Media Network calls on the government, private sector, and citizens to join hands in supporting the security architecture of the nation through partnership, training, and moral reorientation.

As Ambassador Oluwayomi noted, “We cannot build a secure Nigeria if we keep losing those who secure us.”.
