AU urges de-escalation as fighting displaces over 180,000 in South Sudan’s Jonglei state The Chairperson of the African Union Commission called for immediate de-escalation and strict adherence to South Sudan’s 2018 peace agreement, as renewed fighting in Jonglei State displaced more than 180,000 people and raised fears of further civilian harm.  Three workers shot dead at San Antonio landscaping supply company, police say

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS - Three employees were killed Saturday morning in a shooting at a landscape supply business in northeast San Antonio, authorities said. A suspect was later found dead at the scene.

San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said the victims—two men and a woman—worked at the business. It remains unclear if the suspect was also employed there, and no names have been released. McManus noted there may be additional injuries, but confirmed details were still being investigated. Officials said the shooting appears to have involved people who knew each other, and it was “not random” in nature. Early reports indicated the suspect was at large, but a few hours later, police confirmed the suspect had died from an apparent self-inflicted injury.
