 Recording Academy adds five new Grammy categories, updates rules for 2026 awards NEW YORK - The Recording Academy is introducing five new categories and making several rule changes for the 2026 Grammy Awards in an effort to reflect the evolving global music landscape. Among the new additions is a best Asian pop music performance category, which will honor performances across genres such as K-pop, J-pop, C-pop and other Asian pop styles, with the award going to performers. A new best traditional pop vocal performance category will recognize artists whose work does not fit within modern pop styles. A best Latin song category will spotlight songwriters for Spanish-language Latin recordings. Changes are also coming to existing categories in R&B and folk music. The academy is adding a best R&B collaboration or duo/group performance category alongside a revised best R&B solo performance award.  TROOPS OF 6 BRIGADE NIGERIAN ARMY DESTROY BANDITS’ CAMP IN TAKUM,  TARABA STATE


Troops of 6 Brigade Nigerian Army- Operation Lafiya Nakowa say they have destroyed a major bandits’ camp at TY Farm, along Takum - Wukari road and recovered one dane gun.

6 Brigade Nigerian Army, says the troops acting on credible intelligence on the activities of bandits around Unom, Yongogba, Tornyi, and Mbayongo villages in Takum Local Government Area, conducted a clearance patrol through Tor-Tser, Kofar Ahmadu, Tornyi, Unom, Mbayongo, and Yongogba villages. The operation successfully cleared the identified areas, including adjoining settlements and river lines.


It adds, during the operation, the troops received another intelligence at Kofar Ahmadu village that bandits were sighted around TY Farm in Tati. The troops immediately headed towards the area through Sabon Gida Tati and made contact with the criminals. Confronted with the troops’ superior firepower, the bandits fled deep into the forest.


On exploitation, the troops discovered and destroyed their major camp at TY Farm, effectively denying the criminals a safe haven. 


The clearance activities code-named OPERATION LAFIYA NAKOWA, aimed at flushing out hibernating bandits and terrorist elements within the Area of Responsibility of troops of 6 Brigade, Nigerian Army / Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS) across Taraba State.


The Commander, 6 Brigade Nigerian Army / Sector 3 OPWS, Brigadier General Kingsley Chidiebere Uwa, commended the troops for their swift response, gallantry, and professionalism during the operation. He reaffirmed the Brigade’s unrelenting commitment to maintaining peace and security across Taraba State and urged residents to continue providing timely and credible information to aid ongoing operations.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
