 President Trump awarded inaugural FIFA Peace Prize at World Cup draw in Washington  Gianni Infantino, the FIFA President presented the honour onstage at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, saying Trump had been selected “in recognition of his exceptional and extraordinary actions to promote peace and unity around the world”. “This is your prize, this is your peace prize,” Infantino said, after Trump took the stage to accept the trophy, a medal and certificate. “There is also a beautiful medal for you that you can wear everywhere you want to go.”   FIFA says the prize is for “individuals who help unite people in peace through unwavering commitment and special actions”.  Accepting the award, Trump called it “one of the great honours of my life”, before claiming to have “saved millions and millions of lives – the Congo is an example, over 10 million people killed and it was heading for another 10 million very quickly.  14-YEAR-OLD KIDNAP VICTIM RESCUED IN BENUE



In a dramatic rescue operation, personnel of the Benue State Civil Protection Guards freed a 14-year-old boy from suspected kidnappers during a routine patrol on the Oweto-Otukpo road in Agatu Local Government Area (LGA) on Friday, November 29, 2025.  


Around 7:45 p.m., the security team intercepted a suspicious vehicle. On sighting the patrol, the abductors abandoned the boy at Egla, Agatu LGA, and fled into the night.  


The victim, identified as Daniel, son of Michael and Rebecca, was immediately taken to the Civil Protection Guards’ office in Obagaji, Agatu LGA, where he received medical care. Authorities confirmed that he is now in stable condition.  


During questioning the following morning, Daniel revealed key details about himself:  


- Full Name: Daniel  

- Age: 14  

- School: Contract Secondary School, Mararaba, Nasarawa State  

- Class: JSS 2  

- Residence: Mararaba Sharp Corner, Nasarawa State  

- Tribe: Idoma  


The boy explained that he does not know his parents’ phone numbers. He has since been handed over to the Nigerian Police at Obagaji for further investigation and efforts to reunite him with his family.  


Authorities are appealing to residents of Nasarawa and Benue States to circulate this information widely so that Daniel’s parents or guardians can be located quickly.
