 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean.  40-Year-Old Arrested in Lephalale for Alleged Drug Dealing


A 40-year-old foreign national is expected to appear in the Lephalale Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 1 December 2025, on charges of dealing in drugs.


The suspect was arrested during an intelligence-driven operation carried out by members of the Organised Crime Investigation and Narcotics Unit.


According to police, on Friday, 28 November 2025 at around 07:30, officers received information about a man suspected of selling drugs in the Lephalale area. The information was followed up, and during observation, police noticed a vehicle matching the description of the suspect’s car.


When the driver spotted the police, he allegedly sped off. Officers gave chase and managed to stop the vehicle. A search was conducted, and police recovered a plastic bag containing substances believed to be heroin and crystal meth, with an estimated street value of more than R15 000.


The suspect was arrested on the scene. He is scheduled to appear before the Lephalale Magistrate’s Court on Monday to face charges of dealing in drugs.
