 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean.  ANXIETY AS BENUE-BORN CLERIC GOES MISSING AFTER KOGI ABDUCTION

Pastor Leefi Ushahemba Emanuel, a Benue-born cleric from Mbaterem in Ukum Local Government Area, has been reportedly kidnapped in Kogi State.


The abduction was said to have occurred on Friday, December 26, 2025, under circumstances that remain unclear. As at the time of filing this report, security agencies are yet to issue an official statement on the incident.


Family members, church leaders and concerned residents have expressed deep concern over his safety, urging security operatives to intensify efforts to secure his immediate rescue.


They also appealed to members of the public to volunteer any information that could assist authorities in tracking down the perpetrators and locating the victim.


More details are expected as investigations continue.
