 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo.  BENUE MAN KIDNAPPED WHILE TRAVELING FOR WEDDING PREPARATIONS, FAMILY PLEADS AS KIDNAPPERS DEMAND ₦3M


12th December, 2025  


A cloud of fear has descended on a Benue family after their relative, Tartenger Terdue James, was kidnapped on Tuesday evening while travelling to Cross River State to buy palm oil for his traditional marriage which is scheduled for this Saturday.


Relatives say the abductors are demanding ₦3 million and have issued a chilling threat to dump his body by the roadside if the ransom isn’t paid.


The family is pleading for urgent help and praying for his safe release. “This is deeply heartbreaking".
