 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. Beyoncé has officially reached billionaire status, according to Forbes, thanks to a combination of record-breaking tours, strategic business ventures, and continued control over one of the most valuable music catalogs in the world. She joins a rare group of entertainers with fortunes exceeding $1 billion, becoming only the fifth musician to reach this milestone alongside her husband Jay-Z, Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen, and Rihanna.

Much of Beyoncé’s financial success stems from her Renaissance World Tour in 2023, a series of three-hour, career-spanning performances that grossed nearly $600 million, solidifying her place as a global pop culture powerhouse. She followed that with 2024’s Cowboy Carter, a country-inspired album that opened new commercial avenues, including a Christmas Day NFL halftime show and what would become the highest-grossing concert tour of 2025. Her combined earnings from touring, music, and business ventures ultimately pushed her net worth over the billion-dollar mark.

Beyoncé laid the foundation for her financial empire in 2010 when she founded Parkwood Entertainment, taking control of her career and managing her music, films, documentaries, and concert productions.
