Russian forces to stay in Mali to fight terrorism: Kremlin The Kremlin said on Thursday that Russian forces would stay in Mali to help the country's government battle terrorists following an offensive over the weekend by Tuareg-led separatists and terrorists. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made the statement after being asked by a reporter how Russia responded to a purported statement from the terrorists saying they wanted Russia to leave Mali. "Russia's presence there is, in fact, due to the need identified by the current government. Russia will continue, including in Mali, to combat extremism, terrorism and other harmful phenomena and will continue to provide assistance to the current government," said Peskov, AFP reported. Beyoncé becomes a billionaire through tours, business ventures, and music catalog control

Beyoncé has officially reached billionaire status, according to Forbes, thanks to a combination of record-breaking tours, strategic business ventures, and continued control over one of the most valuable music catalogs in the world. She joins a rare group of entertainers with fortunes exceeding $1 billion, becoming only the fifth musician to reach this milestone alongside her husband Jay-Z, Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen, and Rihanna.

Much of Beyoncé’s financial success stems from her Renaissance World Tour in 2023, a series of three-hour, career-spanning performances that grossed nearly $600 million, solidifying her place as a global pop culture powerhouse. She followed that with 2024’s Cowboy Carter, a country-inspired album that opened new commercial avenues, including a Christmas Day NFL halftime show and what would become the highest-grossing concert tour of 2025. Her combined earnings from touring, music, and business ventures ultimately pushed her net worth over the billion-dollar mark.

Beyoncé laid the foundation for her financial empire in 2010 when she founded Parkwood Entertainment, taking control of her career and managing her music, films, documentaries, and concert productions. By fronting production costs in exchange for long-term profits, she built a self-directed business model that expanded into celebrity-friendly ventures like her hair care brand Cécred, whiskey label SirDavis, and the Ivy Park clothing line.

The majority of her wealth, however, comes from music. Retaining control of her catalog and performing stadium-scale tours has allowed her to maximize one of the most lucrative paths in entertainment. Her Cowboy Carter Tour offered nearly three hours of elaborate live performance, featuring cinematic production elements such as a flying car, robotic arms serving SirDavis whiskey, a golden mechanical bull, and guest appearances from Jay-Z, her children, and former Destiny’s Child bandmates. Beyoncé’s combination of musical talent, entrepreneurial savvy, and strategic reinvention has cemented her place among the most successful entertainers of all time.
