 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. Brigitte Bardot to be laid to rest by the sea in Saint-Tropez 

 French film legend Brigitte Bardot, who passed away Sunday at the age of 91, will be laid to rest in a seaside cemetery in Saint-Tropez, local authorities confirmed Monday, though no date has been announced.

Bardot, an enduring symbol of 1950s and 60s France, spent much of her later life in Saint-Tropez, devoting herself to animal welfare and finding comfort among her pets. Longtime resident Philippe Volmier, who knew her for three decades, recalled seeing her walking her dogs on the beach and described her as a kind and generous friend. President Emmanuel Macron praised Bardot as a figure of freedom and universal influence, calling her “a legend of the century.” Despite having expressed a wish to be buried in her garden, officials noted that no request for a private burial had been submitted.
