 AU urges de-escalation as fighting displaces over 180,000 in South Sudan’s Jonglei state The Chairperson of the African Union Commission called for immediate de-escalation and strict adherence to South Sudan’s 2018 peace agreement, as renewed fighting in Jonglei State displaced more than 180,000 people and raised fears of further civilian harm. In a statement, African Union Commission Chairperson Mahmoud Ali Youssouf said he was deeply concerned by the deteriorating security situation in parts of the country, particularly Jonglei, where escalating violence and inflammatory rhetoric have put civilians—including women and children—at heightened risk. South Sudanese authorities estimate the number of displaced in Jonglei at more than 180,000, the United Nations humanitarian agency OCHA said last week.  Christmas: Cleric Urges All to Welcome Jesus Christ Into Their Hearts as King of the Universe

Rev. Fr. Donatus Oragwam, Parish Priest of St. Matthew's Catholic Church, Amawbia, and Dean of Amawbia Deanery, has called on all, especially Christians to wholeheartedly welcome Jesus Christ into their hearts as the King of the Universe during this holy season of Christmas going forward.


Delivering his homily, Fr. Oragwam reflected on the mystery of Christ’s birth, noting that people from all corners of the earth journeyed to Bethlehem to honour the newborn King. “Though born in a manger due to lack of space at the inn, that humble beginning did not stop kings, shepherds, and people from all walks of life from coming to adore Him,” he said.


Drawing from the day’s readings, the priest explained that in times past, God spoke to His people through the prophets, but in this present age, He speaks to us through His Son, Jesus Christ. “Today’s second reading reminds us that Jesus is the only one whom God referred to as His Son. He alone was chosen to fulfill the Word, and His coming into the world was a divine mission of love and salvation,” he emphasized.


Fr. Oragwam urged the faithful to embrace the true meaning of Christmas, which is not just about celebration but about welcoming the Prince of Peace into their hearts, homes, and lives. “Christmas is a time to renew our faith, to love, forgive, and share with others, especially the less privileged. It is the season of hope, joy, and the manifestation of God’s greatest gift to humanity, His Son.”


He prayed that the birth of Christ would bring peace, unity, and blessings to families, communities, and the entire world.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.  Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
