 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. George Clooney mourns sister Ada Zeidler’s passing

George Clooney’s sister, Adelia “Ada” Zeidler, passed away from cancer on Friday at the age of 65.

According to her obituary, Zeidler died peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones. Clooney paid tribute to his sister, saying, “My sister, Ada, was my hero. She faced down cancer with courage and humor. I’ve never met anyone so brave. Amal and I will miss her terribly.”

Zeidler spent many years as an elementary art teacher at Augusta Independent School in Kentucky. She was also active in her community, leading a local book club, participating in the Augusta Art Guild, and serving as grand marshal of Augusta’s Annual White Christmas Parade.

She is survived by her parents, Nick and Nina Clooney, brother George Clooney, her husband Kenny, children Nick Zeidler and Allison Zeidler Herolaga, and other family members.
