Marilyn Manson's sexual assault case by former assistant reinstated under new California law A previously dismissed sexual assault case against Marilyn Manson, filed by former assistant Ashley Walters, was revived Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court under a new California law extending the statute of limitations for certain sexual abuse claims. Judge Steve Cochran granted Walters’ motion for reconsideration, vacating his December 2025 ruling that had dismissed the case and allowing it to proceed toward trial. The original suit, first filed in 2021, accused Manson, whose legal name is Brian Warner, of sexual harassment, sexual battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and wrongful termination based on her time working for him in 2010–2011. Previous attempts to move the case forward were blocked because the claims were made years after the alleged incidents, with courts initially ruling that the delayed discovery doctrine did not apply.  GRASSROOTS SPORTS DEVELOPMENT: LAGOS VETERAN SWIMMERS HAIL DG OF LSSC


The Lagos State Old Swimmers Association (LOSA) recently recognised the Director General, Lagos State Sports Commission, Lekan Fatodu, with an award for his contribution and support towards sports development and the noble profession in the state.


The award was presented to him for the sterling performances of the young swimmers after clinching 19 gold medals at the 9th edition of the National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State.


For the first time in the history of the U-15 developmental multi-sport event, Team Lagos emerged as the overall champions, defeating the perennial winners, Delta State. Swimming contributed significantly to the state medal haul.


With the success recorded at the national developmental Games, Lagos cemented its name as the most vibrant state in terms of talent identification and development, providing an enabling environment as well as encouraging the technical personnel to excel in their duties.


According to the organisers, the objective of the event was to celebrate the spirit of excellence and collaboration that is driving swimming development in Lagos State. The Awards ceremony was also to celebrate the remarkable achievements of past administrators, coaches and swimmers.


The Association promised to work with and support the Lagos State Swimming Association to bring back the glory days of swimming to Lagos.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
