NIGERIAN MILITARY JET CRASHES IN NIGER. (PHOTO).

 Nigerian military jet crashes in Niger A Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Alpha Jet has reportedly crashed near Karabonde, Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State, on Saturday evening, December 6. Unconfirmed reports from local sources clam that the two pilots onboard survived the incident after successfully ejecting from the aircraft. A Niger state-based digital television network, Lapai TV, announced the tragic incident  in a post on its official Facebook account on Saturday evening, December 6. The post, accompanied by a one-minute video, read, “Two Nigerian Air Force Pilots Reportedly Survive Alpha Jet Crash Close to Karabonde, Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State”. It was reported that the two pilots successfully ejected before the aircraft went down. Meanwhile, the Nigerian military has yet to make any official statement concerning about the crash as of the time of filing this report.

   I support the creation of Anioma State but it should remain in the South-South not moving it Southeast- HRM Asagba Azinge


HRM Asagba Azinge has stated  he is in support of the  Anioma State creation but  clarified that while he supports its creation, he prefers it remain within the Southsouth region. 


HRM Azinge made this statement during an emergency Asagba-in-Council meeting today at Ogwa-Uku Ahaba. The meeting was held to  address key issues on insecurity, drug abuse, iron condemn vendors, and the Anioma State agenda


The traditional ruler condemned misinformation suggesting that he is not in support of the Anioma State creation. Chief Peter Onwusanya outlined the Council’s resolutions:


"Anioma State is supported but not in the SouthEast.Proponents promised the SouthEast the capital, which is unacceptable.A publication will register their displeasure.

A press conference will follow the meeting.

Youths will hold a peaceful protest from December 2025 at 8 am starting from Inter-Bau roundabout.Petition letters will be sent to the Presidency, Senate-President, and Majority Leader"


HRM Azinge emphasized voluntary participation in the referendum, stating that comments on Anioma State are personal opinions, not impositions.


Other matters that was discussed included the forthcoming Asaba International 10km Road Race on 6th December 2025 and the formation of an Asaba football club. HRM Azinge also called for the Asaba Urban Renewal to maintain cleanliness, particularly with the upcoming Asaba Day celebrations.


The meeting adjourned at 3:30 pm after Obi Iweka Enem moved the motion and Chief Mrs. Theodora Giwa-Amu seconded.
