AU urges de-escalation as fighting displaces over 180,000 in South Sudan’s Jonglei state The Chairperson of the African Union Commission called for immediate de-escalation and strict adherence to South Sudan’s 2018 peace agreement, as renewed fighting in Jonglei State displaced more than 180,000 people and raised fears of further civilian harm. In a statement, African Union Commission Chairperson Mahmoud Ali Youssouf said he was deeply concerned by the deteriorating security situation in parts of the country, particularly Jonglei, where escalating violence and inflammatory rhetoric have put civilians—including women and children—at heightened risk. South Sudanese authorities estimate the number of displaced in Jonglei at more than 180,000, the United Nations humanitarian agency OCHA said last week. “I woke up to an insulting tweet from Jesse Jagz” — Daddy Freeze shares voice notes, calls for help for the rapper

Daddy Freeze has responded after Jesse Jagz allegedly threw insults at him on social media — and he came with receipts.

The media personality said he woke up to an “insulting tweet” from the rapper, and decided it was time to explain what actually happened behind the scenes.

According to Freeze, Jesse Jagz entered his DM begging to join his Instagram Live session. He said he gave Jesse his WhatsApp number, and the rapper started calling repeatedly and even dropped several voice notes.

Freeze claimed Jesse sounded distressed, repeatedly saying things like “Uncle Daddy, Daddy, Uncle Daddy, please, tomorrow I’m bringing some Idoma people there… If we allow 2Baba to go through this, God will punish all Nigerian artists.”

He added that Jesse mentioned speaking with “Faiz” and also said 2Baba’s management reached out regarding the matter.

Daddy Freeze revealed he eventually allowed Jesse on his Live, but what fans saw left many worried. He said viewers were “traumatized” by Jesse’s state during the session.

Freeze didn’t hold back: he insisted that Jesse needs proper support and care, even more urgently than the person they initially came online to talk about.

He emphasized that many Nigerian entertainers are struggling with different substance-related issues, and said it’s time for honest conversations instead of silence.
