 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. INDIA ASSAM CHIEF MINISTER HIMANTA BISWA SARMA HAS EXPRESSED HIS DESIRE TO BRING INTERNATIONAL POP SENSATION SHAKIRA TO GUWAHATI FOR A CONCERT IN THE COMING YEARS.(PHOTO).

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has expressed his desire to bring international pop sensation Shakira to Guwahati for a concert in the coming years. Speaking to reporters, the Chief Minister said that the state had an opportunity to host the global superstar in February, but the plan could not move forward due to certain circumstances.


CM Sarma stated that he hopes to make the concert possible either next year or sometime within the next two years, highlighting the state’s growing ambition to host world-class entertainment events. He added that the government is not limiting these efforts to Guwahati alone.


The Chief Minister shared that he also envisions inviting global performers to other major Assam cities such as Dibrugarh and Silchar in the future. The move, he said, would further boost the cultural landscape and tourism potential of the state, giving Assam a place on the global entertainment map.
