Marilyn Manson's sexual assault case by former assistant reinstated under new California law A previously dismissed sexual assault case against Marilyn Manson, filed by former assistant Ashley Walters, was revived Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court under a new California law extending the statute of limitations for certain sexual abuse claims. Judge Steve Cochran granted Walters’ motion for reconsideration, vacating his December 2025 ruling that had dismissed the case and allowing it to proceed toward trial. The original suit, first filed in 2021, accused Manson, whose legal name is Brian Warner, of sexual harassment, sexual battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and wrongful termination based on her time working for him in 2010–2011. Previous attempts to move the case forward were blocked because the claims were made years after the alleged incidents, with courts initially ruling that the delayed discovery doctrine did not apply. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has expressed his desire to bring international pop sensation Shakira to Guwahati for a concert in the coming years. Speaking to reporters, the Chief Minister said that the state had an opportunity to host the global superstar in February, but the plan could not move forward due to certain circumstances.


CM Sarma stated that he hopes to make the concert possible either next year or sometime within the next two years, highlighting the state’s growing ambition to host world-class entertainment events. He added that the government is not limiting these efforts to Guwahati alone.


The Chief Minister shared that he also envisions inviting global performers to other major Assam cities such as Dibrugarh and Silchar in the future. The move, he said, would further boost the cultural landscape and tourism potential of the state, giving Assam a place on the global entertainment map.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
