 The Traditional Ruler of Azumini Ndoki Ancient Kingdom in Ukwa East LGA, Abia State, HRM Eze Edward Eule (Onyenweali X), has dismissed claims by some of his subjects that he abandoned his throne following his temporary absence from the community. This is as six suspects have been arrested by the police in connection with the stealing of the community’s electricity transformer, thus plunging the community into darkness. The monarch, who is currently in the U.S, explained that his trip was to attend to personal and professional matters, adding that he will soon return to Nigeria. "I travelled to the United States of America in May 2025 to attend to some professional and personal matters. I am robustly healthy and fine, and I may soon conclude the task of my sojourn here", he said. Prof. Eule accused individuals he described as "mischief-makers operating under the guise of an Interim Ruling Council" of peddling falsehoods and propaganda about his alleged abdication. ...

Netflix to release docuseries on Natalee Holloway case

Netflix has announced a three-part docuseries exploring the Natalee Holloway case, set to feature Natalee’s mother, Beth Holloway.

Natalee disappeared in 2005 while traveling in Aruba with college friends. Her death was confirmed in 2023 after Joran van der Sloot confessed and was extradited to the U.S. to face charges. Beth Holloway has been closely involved in the ongoing investigation and has led efforts to provide resources for other families of missing persons. In the series, she will recount the events surrounding her daughter’s disappearance, continuing through van der Sloot’s eventual confession.

The documentary will include audio archives from family members, friends, and the FBI, along with newly released footage and interviews with investigators. The series is directed by Dani Sloane and Matthew Galkin, with executive producers Liz Garbus, Dan Cogan, Jon Bardin, Tommy Coriale, and Sloane.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
