 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Prayer of the Faithful said in Igbo language at Pope Leo’s first Christmas Vigil Mass at the Vatican


A moment of cultural recognition unfolded at the Vatican on December 24 during the Christmas Vigil Mass, as the Igbo language featured prominently in the liturgy.


One of the intentions during the Prayer of the Faithful at the Christmas Vigil Mass celebrated by Pope Leo XIV at St Peter’s Basilica was read in Igbo, acknowledging the contributions of Igbo Catholics within the global Church.


The inclusion of the Igbo language highlighted the diversity of the Catholic faithful worldwide and underscored the Church’s emphasis on universality during the Christmas celebration at the Vatican.


In addition, an Igbo couple participated in the Eucharistic Procession, joining others in presenting the offertory gifts to the Pope during the Mass.
