 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. TENSION IN GBOKO AS YOUTHS APPREHEND MAN OVER SAME-SEX ALLEGATION

A man was on Tuesday apprehended by a group of youths in Gboko, Benue State, over allegations of engaging in a same-sex relationship.


According to a video circulating on social media, the man was accused of travelling from Lagos to Gboko to visit another male companion. The youths who intercepted him questioned the purpose of the visit and alleged that the meeting suggested a same-sex encounter.


The incident has generated conversations across the community, with some residents expressing concern over rising cases of moral disputes and others warning against mob actions and public shaming.


Security observers have advised that matters of this nature be reported to the police for proper investigation instead of being handled by youths or vigilante groups.


As of the time of filing this report, the Benue State Police Command has not issued an official statement on the incident.
