AU urges de-escalation as fighting displaces over 180,000 in South Sudan’s Jonglei state The Chairperson of the African Union Commission called for immediate de-escalation and strict adherence to South Sudan’s 2018 peace agreement, as renewed fighting in Jonglei State displaced more than 180,000 people and raised fears of further civilian harm. In a statement, African Union Commission Chairperson Mahmoud Ali Youssouf said he was deeply concerned by the deteriorating security situation in parts of the country, particularly Jonglei, where escalating violence and inflammatory rhetoric have put civilians—including women and children—at heightened risk. South Sudanese authorities estimate the number of displaced in Jonglei at more than 180,000, the United Nations humanitarian agency OCHA said last week. He urged all parties to exercise maximum restraint, de-escalate tensions immediately, and comply fully with the permanent ceasefire and power-sharing arrangements under the agreement, T...

A TEXAS WOMAN MUST HAVE HAD A PARTICULARLY BAD DAY LAST TUESDAY. IT CAUSED HER TO MAKE A SERIES OF BAD DECISIONS THAT LEFT ONE MALE OFFICER WITH A TENDER NIPPLE AND LANDED HER IN JAIL. (PHOTO).

When you hear about a "twister in Texas", you don't expect it to be a loss prevention officer's left nipple.

A Texas woman must have had a particularly bad day last Tuesday. It caused her to make a series of bad decisions that left one male officer with a tender nipple and landed her in jail.

40-year-old Keri Aultz entered the Market Basket (a grocery store) in Beaumont, Texas on Tuesday evening with two objectives in mind. Feminine pads and chocolate. I think it's safe to say her Aunt Flo was making a visit.

Unfortunately, despite her need for pads and her desire for chocolate, Keri was short on funds.

With this in mind, Keri opted to apply her five fingered discount in order to procure her items. Unfortunately, the store's loss prevention officer chose not to honor that particular discount, and a chaotic scene ensued.

As Keri was exiting the store with two bags of Hershey's chocolates (a good choice) and a package of feminine pads, the officer attempted to intervene.

At this point, Keri shoved the officer out of her way (a bad choice) but he was not giving up. She also lunged at the store manager, who was attempting to assist the officer.

Keri made it out of the store and to her vehicle, but the loss prevention officer was not ready to give up. He exited the store and blocked Keri from leaving.

This is when Keri got out of her vehicle and approached him, deciding to unleash her secret weapon. Keri grabbed the officer's left nipple and gave it a powerful twist.

Despite her best efforts, Keri Aultz was eventually taken into custody.  Police say that because she used force that caused bodily injury, what could have been a simple shoplifting charge has been upgraded to robbery.

A quick check on her background showed Keri had warrants for previous theft charges.

After all that excitement, Keri complained of chest pains and was taken to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital for medical clearance. I'm positive the officer also had a certain kind of chest pain.

After being released, Keri Aultz was booked into jail on Robbery charges. A judge set her bond at $75,000.

The total cost of the items she was shoplifting was $16.21.

I do "feel" for the officer. Those are no fun. You should never do that to anyone because it can cause serious damage, even if you just really want chocolate.
