 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. AN 11-YEAR-OLD FLORIDA BOY WAS LURED BY A TEEN TO A CAMPING AREA WHERE HE WAS STRANGLED TO UNCONSCIOUSNESS AND BOUND BEFORE BEING HELD IN BONDAGE FOR THREE DAYS. (PHOTO).


 "The child truly felt he was going to die that night."


An 11-year-old Florida boy was lured by a teen to a camping area where he was str@ngled to unconsciousness and bound before being held in bondage for three days.


Fortunately, Florida deputies made a dramatic rescue in the nick of time. 


The traffic stop that saved the 11-year-old boy's life was intense and scary for everyone involved, with a registered S/Offender attempting to disarm a deputy and his 15-year-old accomplice ramming a patrol vehicle.


The drama unfolded on the night of December 31st when a Flagler County deputy pulled over a white Ford F-150 on U.S Highway 1 after a call reporting suspicious activity.


Inside of the F-150 was 60-year-old Darnell Hairston and two juveniles.


After separating the three, an 11-year-old boy seemed clearly scared. He identified himself as a child reported missing from St. Johns County three days earlier. He began sharing the chilling information of his abduction. He told deputies on scene he was not safe and feared he would have been k*lled that night.


According to the boy, he had been part of a Snapchat group with a 15-year-old, Junior Bishop. In the group, the 11-year-old warned others that Hairston was a s****** predator.  He did not realize Bishop was connected to Hairston and would be involved in a plot to abduct the child to silence him.


Bishop and Hairston cooked up a plan to abduct the child. Bishop lured the boy to a wooded campsite at Flagler Estates, where Hairston awaited. Once the boy arrived, Hairston str@ngled him until he was unconscious.  After the child regained consciousness, Hairston threatened him with a knife and firearm. He then tied him up with shoelaces and an extension cord before gagging him with duct tape. 


This would begin the child's three day ordeal.


 During this time, he was drugged and forced to lay on the floorboard of Hairston's truck, covered by a blanket.


After speaking with the boy, the deputy quickly secured him in the safety of his patrol vehicle and went to detain Hairston.  


 Hairston attempted to flee on foot. This led to a scuffle with the deputy and Hairston attempting to take the deputy's firearm. After the short but violent struggle, Hairston was detained. 


However, the deputies were far from out of danger. While all of this was happening, Junior Bishop got back into the truck and fled the scene, almost running over a deputy in the process. 


A high-speed chase down U.S. 1 would ensue. Eventually the chase ended up on State Road 100, where Bishop rammed a patrol vehicle. This caused both vehicles to crash with the truck overturning. Bishop was detained following the crash. Neither Bishop nor the deputy involved were seriously injured.


Darnell Hairston is being charged with attempting to disarm an officer, resisting arrest, kidnapping a child under 13, aggravated child @buse, battery by str@ngulation and robbery with a deadly weapon. Hairston has an extensive prior record of violent crimes and is a registered S/O. He is currently being held in the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility. 


Junior Bishop faces charges of aggravated fleeing, aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer, reckless driving, driving without a license, and resisting arrest without violence. He is also being investigated as a co-conspirator in the kidnapping and could face additional charges. He is being held in the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice.
