 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo.  ANAMBRA POLICE-LED JOINT SECURITY FORCES REMAIN FIRM, CONTAINING ATTEMPTS BY DEVIANTS TO BREACH PEACE IN ONITSHA FOLLOWING STATE GOVERNMENT DIRECTIVE ON MARKET CLOSURE


The Anambra State Police Command in collaboration with other security agencies, remained proactive and resolute in preventing any attempt by miscreants or criminal elements to exploit the temporary closure of markets to cause a breach of peace in Onitsha. The Joint Security Team have successfully contained and deterred all forms of disruptive activities, ensuring the safety of lives and property. 


The Command also observed the pattern of individuals using social media platforms to incite violence, disrupt public peace, as well as the sharing of unverified videos on social media regarding the security situation in the area. Onitsha remains calm and every situation is under control as per the directives of the Commissioner of Police CP Ikioye Orutugu fwc mnips PhD. The Deputy Commissioner in Charge of Operations currently leads the Joint Security Team comprising the Military, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and others. 


The Command urges residents and traders to remain law-abiding and to comply fully with the State government’s directive, assuring the public that the measure is in the overall interest of public safety and security.


Meanwhile, security monitoring and patrol continues.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
