 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  ANAMBRA POLICE-LED JOINT SECURITY FORCES REMAIN FIRM, CONTAINING ATTEMPTS BY DEVIANTS TO BREACH PEACE IN ONITSHA FOLLOWING STATE GOVERNMENT DIRECTIVE ON MARKET CLOSURE


The Anambra State Police Command in collaboration with other security agencies, remained proactive and resolute in preventing any attempt by miscreants or criminal elements to exploit the temporary closure of markets to cause a breach of peace in Onitsha. The Joint Security Team have successfully contained and deterred all forms of disruptive activities, ensuring the safety of lives and property. 


The Command also observed the pattern of individuals using social media platforms to incite violence, disrupt public peace, as well as the sharing of unverified videos on social media regarding the security situation in the area. Onitsha remains calm and every situation is under control as per the directives of the Commissioner of Police CP Ikioye Orutugu fwc mnips PhD. The Deputy Commissioner in Charge of Operations currently leads the Joint Security Team comprising the Military, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and others. 


The Command urges residents and traders to remain law-abiding and to comply fully with the State government’s directive, assuring the public that the measure is in the overall interest of public safety and security.
