 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Avatar: Fire and Ash leads North American box office for fifth consecutive weekend


Avatar: Fire and Ash has maintained its grip on the North American box office, claiming the top spot for a fifth consecutive weekend with $13.3 million in ticket sales from Friday through Sunday.

Following in second place is 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, which brought in $13 million, while Zootopia 2 took third with $8.8 million. The Housemaid earned $8.5 million for fourth place, and Marty Supreme rounds out the top five with $5.5 million.

Other notable performers include Primate at sixth with $5 million, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring at seventh with $3.5 million, Greenland 2 at eighth with $3.4 million, Anaconda at ninth with $3.2 million, and The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants in tenth with $2.3 million.
