 AU urges de-escalation as fighting displaces over 180,000 in South Sudan’s Jonglei state The Chairperson of the African Union Commission called for immediate de-escalation and strict adherence to South Sudan’s 2018 peace agreement, as renewed fighting in Jonglei State displaced more than 180,000 people and raised fears of further civilian harm. In a statement, African Union Commission Chairperson Mahmoud Ali Youssouf said he was deeply concerned by the deteriorating security situation in parts of the country, particularly Jonglei, where escalating violence and inflammatory rhetoric have put civilians—including women and children—at heightened risk. South Sudanese authorities estimate the number of displaced in Jonglei at more than 180,000, the United Nations humanitarian agency OCHA said last week. Netflix is set to release the docuseries Being Gordon Ramsay on Feb. 18, giving viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the celebrity chef’s latest venture. A trailer released Wednesday highlights Ramsay tackling what he calls his “most ambitious project” yet: opening 22 Bishopsgate. “Five businesses under one roof… the budget is millions of pounds, and I’m doing that personally,” he says in the preview.

The series follows Ramsay over nine months as he faces numerous challenges while bringing the project to life. Viewers will also get unprecedented access to the Ramsay family, showing Gordon balancing his professional obligations with life as a husband to Tana and father to their six children. The docuseries promises an intimate look at both the pressures of running a massive culinary enterprise and the demands of family life.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
