  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. CAR THEFT: Police Thwart Criminal Theft Attempt of a Toyota Hilux Vehicle Within Bauchi Metropolitan. 


On 5th January, 2026 at about 0630hrs, one Buhari Musa Umar, a member of Bauchi Emirate Council reported to a patrol team drafted at Jos road roundabout Bauchi that an unknown person stole the Emirate's Toyota Hilux parked in Inkiya Filling Station to buy fuel and headed to unknown destination. 


The driver narrated that, he was heading to Ganjuwa LGA of the State to disburse Emir's messages when he was excused to ease himself. Unfortunately, an unknown individual stole the Hilux to an unknown destination. 


Upon receipt of the report, the patrol team quickly chased the suspect, recovered the stolen vehicle around Bayan Gari area and arrested the suspect. 


During interrogation, the suspect confessed to having committed the alleged criminal offence. 


Investigation is still on, after which the suspect will be profiled and charged to court upon its completion.
