 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe.  DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ALLEGATION ROCKS SOCIAL MEDIA IN BENUE AS MAN FINGERED IN LOVER'S ASSAULT

A wave of public concern has followed a social media post alleging domestic violence against a man identified as Mr. Suega Adega.


The allegation, brought to light by social commentator D’naked Elder Sughnen Yaaya, claims that Mr. Adega physically assaulted his girlfriend during a domestic altercation. The woman, who reportedly described him as her “lovely boyfriend and husband-to-be,” was said to have reported the incident to the police.


According to the post, the victim reached out for help after the alleged assault. However, efforts to contact Mr. Adega were unsuccessful, as several phone calls reportedly went unanswered.


Reacting to the development, the commentator stated that he has maintained a policy of staying out of romantic disputes since 2021, stressing that such matters should be handled strictly by law enforcement agencies, especially as a formal complaint had already been filed.


As of press time, Mr. Adega had not responded to the allegation, while the police were yet to issue an official statement on the matter.
